Panaji: Former Chief Minister and Congress MLA Pratapsinh Rane has broke his silence on the controversy surrounding him. But he seems to be getting into another one.
“I don’t have anything to say.. well it will soon be 50 years for me in political life, what more should I say. Who are these people in the party talking today,” Rane has been quoted as saying by The Navhind Times newspaper today.
Senior Rane’s statement comes in the wake of GPCC President Girish Chodankar distancing himself from the remarks on Goans cleaning toilet. Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee President Pratima Coutinho had demanded that Rane should apologise.
Also several Congress spokesman also had expressed displeasure over Rane’s statement.
“This is wrong, they are trying to malign me for no reason, I have not said anything derogatory against Goans or anyone. I meant to say that Goas irrespective of where they work they should have better quality of jobs and I deny having said what they are attributing to me,” he reacted.
