Panaji: Senior leader of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Paksha (MGP) Sudin Dhavlikar supported the project of double tracking of railways. “We support the double tracking of railways but oppose the coal transport,” said Dhavlikar who believed that the project will actually benefit the people of Goa.
Sudin Dhavlikar believes if the double tracking project is successful the price of food grains in Goa will decrease as much money is spent on transportation of these foodgrains from other states to Goa. “Junction of coal is MPT if the coal is stopped there double tracking of railways will only benefit Goans,” said Dhavlikar while asserting the need of double tracking.
