Panaji: The Goa Forward Party has appointed former Sarpanch and present panch of Panchawadi Vishant Gaonkar as block president of Shiroda. He had joined the Goa Forward in the year 2017.
GFP general secretary (organisation) Durgadas Kamat on Thursday announced the appointment of Gaonkar while addressing press conference in Panaji. Vishant Gaonkar and leader Akbar Mulla were present on the occasion.
Gaonkar said that people are getting attracted towards Goa Forward. “Panch members want our leader Vijai Sardesai to tour in Shiroda constituency, so they can interact with him and go forward.” Gaonkar said.
“We will soon come up with our block committee for Shiroda and will continue our work in Shiroda constituency. We are trying our best to help the people of Shioda and try to resolve issues.” He said.
Akbar Mulla, while praising the work of Gaonkar said that Goa Forward will play a vital role in forthcoming assembly election in Shiroda.
Durgadas Kamat said that GFP is trying to strengthen everywhere and hence block level committees in most of the constituencies across Goa will be formed in coming days.
“We are growing under the leadership of Vijai Sardesai. There is our existence in Shiroda and hence we are trying to strengthen it.” He said.
GFP is the best friend of Congress & BJP. No doubt even 1%. BJP formed 2017 Government with the help of GFP. Congress formed Margao Municipal Corporation with the help of GFP.
