Valpoi: Chief of VMC Mr Akhtar Shah said as part of awareness programme VMC have started miking in all 10 wards. We have assured our people that VMC councillors are fully with them and needs cooperation from them to fight against this pandemic.
Through miking we are requesting our people to take precautionary measures like “Regularly and thoroughly cleaning your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Maintain at least 1-metre distance between yourself and others. Avoid going to crowded places. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. Stay home and self-isolate even with minor symptoms such as cough, headache, mild fever, until you recover. Have someone bring you supplies. If you need to leave your house, wear a mask to avoid infecting others. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention, and follow the directions of your local health authority”.
We have also submitted a memorandum before Deputy Collector Sattari and have requested him to take strict action against violators who are not following MHA guidelines, we have also instructed our shop owners to follow guidelines on social distancing and wearing of a mask.
