Margao: The Department of Urban Development has issued a notice to Margao Municipality’s Chief Officer, Melvyn Vaz, directing the removal of unauthorised stalls and shops obstructing the premises of the Electricity Department at Aquem, Margao.
Executive Engineer Kashinath Shetye had lodged a complaint regarding the illegal structures, stating that they were hindering access to the pathway.
The notice, issued by Deputy Director of Urban Development Nadia Shekel, has instructed the municipality to remove the stalls within three days of receiving the communication.
Kashinath Shetye, who served as the Nodal Officer for the Land Acquisition Cell of the Electricity Department, was recently transferred.
