02 history sheeters have been arrested again by Old Goa police for assaulting, threatening with dire consequences and extortion on 22/07/2019.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged by Vinod Waghmode, 25 yrs, R/o Merces – Goa running a scrap yard informing that on 21/07/2019 while he was him home and passing from nearby a restaurant both accused persons namely 1. Suraj Shetye, R/o Merces and 2. Vishal Vilas Golatkar, R/o Merces came to him, assaulted and further demanded money of Rs.50,000/- as Protection der (hafta) from the complainant on knife point.
The complainant has also paid RS.15,000/- to the same accused persons in the month of may 2019 out of fear for life. Complainant approach PI old Goa who gave him the confidence and immediately offence was registered.
Within hours of registration of offence Old Goa police raided the residences of the accused and placed them under arrest under sections 341, 323, 506(ii), 387 R/w 34 IPC.
Accused person Suraj Shetye is involved in 05 crimes earlier and accused Vishal Golatkar is involved in 06 crimes earlier in crimes registered across Old Goa police station, Panaji Police Station and Porvorim Police station.
Police recovered knife use committing offence.
PI Dalvi has requested public to come forward and lodge their complaints against the said accused persons if they were also harassed by the said accused persons.
