Valpoi: Police on Tuesday evening arrested two leaders of anti-IIT movement for obstructing government servants from executing their duty at Melauli village.
Valpoi Block Congress President Dasharath Mandrekar and local leader Vishwesh Porob were part of the group that resisted the government officials from demarcating the land for proposed IIT project at Melauli.
Sources stated that both the leaders were arrested by Valpoi Police on Tuesday evening and booked under non bailable sections. They would be presented before the Court tomorrow.
