Panaji: Goa Crime Branch has summoned twin sisters on Thursday over their allegedly derogatory posts on Instagram.
Goa Crime Branch had registered suo motto case against the Instagram handles, after they posted messages which were derogatory in nature and hurting religious sentiments.
Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Nidhin Valsan said that the twin sisters have been summoned on Thursday as a part of the investigation in the case.
He refused to divulge the place from where they belong to claiming that it would hamper the investigation of the case.
The summons are issued to both the sisters under section 41 (A) of CrPC under section 153-A (hurting religious sentiments) and section 67 of Information Technology Act.
