Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Monday said that though the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state has come down to zero, it is too early to tag the state as “green zone.”
Goa government on Sunday had announced that all the seven patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered, with no fresh case being reported since April 03.
“While we have good news of zero COVID-19 cases in Goa, it is too early to tag our state as a “green zone”. It’s time to intensify the testing facilities, we are now drawing up protocols for random testing – testing of migratory workers, industrial workers etc,” Rane tweeted.
“We are also setting up smart kiosks, which wil be placed at the borders, airport, MPT and several other locations that would be best suited for broadening our scope for testing,” he said in another tweet.
Yes. He is right. The decision to declare the Green Zone needs to be deeply authenticated than making a show mask.
Even the lockdown and traffic movement relaxation should have been effectively discussed and qualitatively assessed, so that the last month’s troubles and the public miseries should not be allowed to befall.
As usual the the political thought processeses should take a beating and public care assessment should come up on the surfaces.
