Panaji: Trinamool Congress Party leader Babul Supriyo on Monday said that Mamata Banerjee led party will do “very well” for upcoming Goa elections.
Several TMC leaders including Supriyo, TMC MPs Mahua Moitra, Saugata Roy have arrived in the coastal state ahead of the West Bengal Chief Minister’s scheduled visit on October 28.
This would be her maiden visit to the coastal state.
“This is one place in India which should see lot of development to make it more tourist friends,” Supriyo told reporters in Goa, referring to the coastal state.
He said that Goa is known for culture, tradition, music and its wonderful beaches. “Lot more can be done here,” he said.
Supriyo said that the upcoming Goa Assembly polls is an “important election” and “TMC will do very well in it.”
The TMC has announced its foray for the upcoming polls. Former State Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro, last month, joined the TMC while Independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar has also extended his support.
