Curtorim: Congress-turned-Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) leader Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco seems to have been finding it again difficult to keep stability on his political decision to join Mamata Banerjee-led party.
Sources stated that Lourenco has faced a backlash in the constituency after his decision for quitting Congress without taking people into confidence.
As per the reports, Lourenco met Fatorda-based leader on Thursday expressing his uneasiness after the recent political decision. His intervention was also sought to correct the action, sources stated.
The former Curtorim MLA was also apprehensive about certain commitments made to him may not be fulfilled.
While entire episode of Lourenco’s uneasiness continued for the entire day, sources stated that TMC has managed to convince him and woo him back in the party.
Series of meetings were held with TMC leaders who have managed to calm him down.
When contacted a senior TMC leader claimed the news as “fake” and “rumour” while asserting that Lourenco continues to be happy in the party.
