Panaji: After two teachers in Bambolim and Ponda each tested positive for Covid-19, th government has been heavily slammed by the opposition on its decision to reopen schools. On Wednesday, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte also hit out at the CM, holding him responsible for the unprecedented events.
“Unfortunately, Teachers test Covid positive at Bambolim & Ponda thus suspending regular classes. Teachers & Children suffer due to adamant & disastrous decision of @goacm despite being shown precedents from other states. We now stare at a grim scenario for which @DrPramodPSawant is solely responsible,” Khaunte stated.
The Bambolim and Ponda schools in which the teachers have tested positive have discontinued in-person classes and have also directed those staff and students who came in contact with the two Covid patients.
