One more feather was added in the cap of Aayush Minister (I/C), Shri Sripad Naik.  Chief Editor of Asia Books of Records, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury in presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant conferred a special Asia Books of Records to Shri Shripad Naik at a glittering function held at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium yesterday.

The function was organized by Yog Seva Mangal Pratishthan, Goa, Patanjali Yog Samiti, Sankhali in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali and Patanjali Parivar, Goa.

Later the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant along with Minister for AYUSH Shri Shripad Naik, attended the Health Workshop on Food as Medicine organized on World Diabetes Day by world renowned Diabetes Reversal Specialist, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.

Addressing the crowd, Chief Minister said, diabetics is fast growing in India, having diabetics patients because of wrong diabetry habits. He said, controlling the diabetics is an art. If you want to be an expert and safe one should know the merits and demerits of it, he added.

Chief Minister appealed to the people to keep fit and to work for the betterment of the society. He complimented the organizers for conducting health related programme in Sankhali.

The Ayush Minister, Shri Shripad Naik stressing the work done in ancient time by the Rushimis, underscored the importance of Ayurveda in the ancient India. More than 200 countries follow the pattern of Ayurveda around the globe, he remarked.

Ayush Minister, Shri Sripad Naik assured the public about starting of two new ayurvedic Health Centres in each taluka of Goa under wellness centres concept.

The set of books were also presented to the Ayush Minister, Shri Sripad Naik.

Present on the occasion were Adjudicator of ceremony, Dr. Franklin Herbert Das, Shri Vithoba Ghadi, Vice Chairperson of Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, Shri Shantaram Kanekar, Shri Kamlesh Bandekar and Shri Sandesh  Barajankar.

Earlier Shri Kamlesh Bandekar welcomed the guests. Shri Shyam Pednekar and Shri Anil Vernekar compered and Shri Sandesh Barajankar proposed vote of thanks.
