Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar reprimands social activists, media over comments on the member
Panaji: Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar on Monday reprimanded the social activists and section of media for commenting against the members of the House, accusing them of being involved in “setting.”
During the ongoing Session on Monday, Tawadkar pointed out that some of the social workers were holding press conferences accusing the members of the House being involved in the setting.
The speaker also mentioned that some of the media were carrying their statements. Tawadkar said that the commenting on the proceedings of the House and the members amounts to breach of privilege.
He cautioned the social activists and the media against repeating such act again.
The monsoon session of Goa legislative assembly is currently underway near Panaji.
