Panaji: Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday morning due to cardiac related ailment, a senior health department official said.
The 56-year-old lawmaker was taken to the GMCH from his private residence in Bicholim village on Wednesday morning, a senior health department official said.
Patnekar complained of uneasiness and hence was immediately shifted to cardiac ward of GMCH where he is being attended by senior doctors, he said.
The official said that health condition of Patnekar is stable and he is kept under observation for next few hours.
