Panaji: The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) on Thursday filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell of Goa Police against its own MLA, Viresh Borkar, alleging that he hacked into the party’s official email account.

The party’s Core Executive Committee (CEC) members, including Vishvesh Naik, Ajay Kholkar, and others, filed a formal complaint against their sole MLA, Viresh Borkar.

In the complaint filed with the police, the RGP CEC members alleged that Viresh had hacked into the party’s email account without their consent.

Kholkar has demanded action against the MLA in the matter.

Talking to reporters, Kholkar said that the MLA had hacked into the party’s email account.

He said that the email address is linked to the bank account and has also been registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Kholkar said that the attempt to take over the email account is part of a conspiracy by the MLA to take over the party.

“We suspect that the email account could be misused by the MLA,” he said.

The RGP’s CEC is currently having a tiff with Borkar, with the latter having been issued a show-cause notice by the former.

When contacted, Borkar was not available for comment.
