Record recovery of COVID-19 cases on Monday, 125 go back home recovered, 52 new patients

Panaji:  On the second consecutive day, Goa broke the record of highest ever recovery of COVID-19 patients with 125 of them going back home after getting recovered on Monday.

As per the  bulletin issued by State Health department, 125 people who were tested COVID-19 positive recovered on Monday, while 52 new people were found with the infection.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Goa touched a mark of 1813 of which 745 are active.

“Out of 1606 samples tested, 1188 are negative while 366 reports are awaited,” the bulletin reads.

The people from Mangor Hill, an area in Vasco town of South Goa, which is declared as Containment Zone continued to get recovered.

As per the health bulletin, only 99 out of total 250 people from Mangor Hill who were tested positive continue to be admitted in different covidcare facilities.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, earlier during the day, had said that the antibody testing in the state would start from Mangor Hill.
