Panaji: Goa Town and Country Planning Minister Vishwajit Rane on Sunday said he listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 138th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ along with Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), highlighting the messages on national security, social service, nutrition and environmental conservation.
In a post on X, Rane said the Prime Minister’s reflections on the 2016 surgical strike and India’s approach towards terrorism were a reminder of the country’s strength and determination.
Modi, in his monthly radio programme, marked the 10th anniversary of the September 28-29, 2016 surgical strikes and said India had adopted a “zero-tolerance” approach towards terrorism. He also referred to subsequent operations, including the Balakot air strike and Operation Sindoor.
Rane also highlighted Modi’s reference to former Vishwa Hindu Parishad international working president Ashok Singhal, whose birth centenary falls on September 27 “The inspiring life of Ashok Singhal ji and his lifelong dedication to society, culture and the nation is a reminder of the strength of conviction and selfless service,” Rane said.
The Prime Minister spoke about Singhal’s contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and paid tribute to him on his 100th birth anniversary.
Rane also praised the contribution of Anganwadi workers towards nutrition, health and the well-being of children, pregnant women and mothers.
“With nearly 9 crore beneficiaries registered on Poshan Tracker, their work is reaching more people with greater impact,” he said.
Rane further referred to the Prime Minister’s mention of women in West Bengal’s Sundarbans who are restoring mangrove forests despite having lost their husbands to tiger attacks.
“From national security and preserving our heritage to strengthening communities and protecting nature, #MannKiBaat continues to bring inspiring stories of India’s people and their spirit of Seva and Jan Bhagidari,” Rane said.
