Rane appeals people to inform him, department if any restaurant, hotel, entertainment zone violates covid norms

Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Sunday has said that Goa government is taking a strict view of the COVID-19 abiding norms in state’s food and entertaiment zones.

Rane said that the state government will take action against the restaurants, hotels or entertainment zones, which are not abiding by the COVID-19 norms.

“The government will also be taking a strict view on the functioning of restaurants, hotels and any place considered as an entertainment zone to ensure that all the people coming there are following strict protocols laid by state government,” the minister said.

He said that wearing mask is mandatory and social distancing is a must. “Filing to do so, the health authorities will take strict action,” he added.

Rane said that in case of any restaurant, hotel, institution is violating the rules, people can whatsapp on his number or email on officeoftheministergoa@gmail.com and necessary action would be initiated by the government.

He said that in view of the rising cases in the state of Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka and other states, we need to be careful. “Every citizen need to be vigilant,” Rane added.

“We have made testing accessible to all the citizens and are working on doing our best to keep covid under control,” he said.
