Panaji: The controversy over illegal construction in Neura panchayat jurisdiction is yet to die down.
After social activist Ramrao Wagh raised the issue about the illegal construction and tacit support of Neura panchayat to it, local MLA Viresh Borkar had claimed that the panchayat had issued stop work notice. Borkar had quoted Panchayat Secretary claiming that stop work order has been issued.
On Friday, Wagh challenged Borkar to produce stop work order issued by Neura panchayat with regard to “that” illegal construction for which residents had filed complaint at survey 250/3.
Wagh has also asked Borkar to check how House number and NOC for water and power connection was issued by panchayat despite the complaint and no inspection nor licence was issued by panchayat which is a new construction.
