Panaji: Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) will on July 28 hold public hearing on the proposed Integrated Solid Waste Management Plant (ISWMP) at Bainguinim.
The Nagpur based National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) has submitted the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report of the project.
Considered to be a Centralized facility for the State, the ISWMP will treat 250 tons of mixed waste per day (TPD).
The total cost of the proposed SWMP is 248.50 crores which is proposed to be funded by Government of India, State Government, Urban Local Body and the Concessionaire under Design Build, Finance, Own and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.
GSPCB will hold public hearing on the EIA report on July 28 at 10.00am onwards at the Old Goa village panchayat hall.
