Priyanka Gandhi takes a dig at AAP for Delhi pollution

Panaji:  All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) holding it responsible for the pollution in the national capital.

Gandhi during her day long visit to the coastal state visited Morpirla village in Quepem assembly segment where she interacted with the tribal women. Gandhi also joined the tribal women in performing their traditional dance.

“When you will go to vote this time, first of all think about yourself, your state and your family. Vote for the party that will solve your issues,” she said in a short address to the gathering.

Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, AICC Goa Desk Incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar and party’s spokesman Altone D’Costa were also present on the occasion.

“Many parties will come from outside. These days new parties are coming,” she commented.

Gandhi said that we must check what these respective parties have done in their states. “Have they done development? I am from Delhi , AAP is from Delhi, There is so much pollution in Delhi that you cant even breathe,” she said.

Gandhi said that development should be done by balancing with the environmental protection. “You will have to save your environment, Water, Sea, farming. You will have to think which is the party that will work for you,” she said.

“It is the only congress party that will work for you,” she added.

In her address, she said that Congress, when voted to power, will reserve 30 per cent of the jobs “only for women.”

She also assured to solve issues like water scarcity and employment that is plaguing rural Goa.
