Chodankar said that it is unfortunate that people have to pray for SADBHUDDI to the Chief Minister on the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak who had given us famous slogan ‘Swaraj is my birth right and I shall have it’.
Chodankar said we have realised how strong Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology are even today by giving reference of Dr. Sawant’s knee jerk reaction to mobilise large police force and he had to prove his strength in his constituency by responding to our peaceful SADBHUDDI Yatra with roses & candles in hand.
“Police did not allow our peaceful march near Sakhalim hospital as CM was so afraid,” GPCC Chief said.
Chodankar condemned the high handedness of police. In today’s police action Congress workers including NSUI were targeted, Ms. Devsurabhi Yaduvanshi clothes were torn.
PCC Secretary Dharmesh Saglani strongly condemned Dr. Sawant statement and stated that he has done irreversible damage to tourism industry.
Former Mahila President & PCC General Secretary Sunita Verenkar criticised Dr. Sawant for his anti women remark, she said that such thoughts can emerge only from sick mind.
Mahila Congress President Bina Naik said said CM himself should introspect instead of asking Parents to introspect. It is his duty to see the Law & order of the State & not of individuals. She asked CM, ‘Why is he not giving advice to those who take drugs & drinks’.
GPCC Spokesmen Tulio D’Souza asked CM why he had called so many police personnel in Sanquelim when Congress has decided to follow Gandhiji’s principle of Sadhbhavna march. Why he forced Government servants & Parent Teachers Association to show his strength?
Pravin Blagan said that if CM can arrange so many police for his own security then why can’t he provide the required manpower in the coastal area particularly beachside areas.
“Such rape incidents could have been averted, if he deployed police personnel at the beach,” Pravin opined.
GPCC Spokesmen Mahadev Khandekar said it is most unfortunate that voters of Dr. Sawant has to come out to pray for his wisdom.
He further said it is unfortunate that his supporters instead of correcting him are supporting over irresponsible statement.
Former MLA Pratap Gawas said that if CM cannot give protection to women, then he must tender his resignation.
PCC Secretary Khemlo Sawant said that it is shame that Dr. Sawant is an elected representative.
Block President Mangaldas Naik explained how the statement has mentally affected the young girls.
North Goa District President Vijay Bhike demanded apologies from CM for using police force to target peaceful protesters.
Varad Mardolkar came down heavily on CM for his irresponsible statement.

Bouquet & Candles which were brought to handover to Dr. Sawant was handed over to Dy. Collector Dipak Vaigankar By District President Vijay Bhike by praying for us good health and wisdom.
