Panaji: The Goa government will distribute only one kg of Onion through its fair price shops from tomorrow onwards, minister Govind Gaude said.
The minister said that the state government has began importing Onions from Nasik and first consignment carrying 330 MT of Onion has already arrived. He said that total requirement is 1,056 MT.
“Right now we have decided to provide one kg of Onion per ration card through Fair Price Shops while rest two kgs would be distributed before end of the month,” he said.
He said that the Onion would be sold at Rs 34.50 paisa per kg.
