Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 172 and reached 44,544 on Thursday, a health department official said.

The death toll mounted to 630 as four patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 41,849 with 238 of them getting discharge on Thursday. The number of active cases is now 2,065, the official said.

“A total of 1586 samples were tested during the day,” he added.
