Old Goa police have arrested one Mr. Uddesh S/o Yallapa Karishetty, age 21 yrs, R/o Altinho, Panaji for assaulting a person with stones thereby causing injury and threatening with dire consequences.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged by Mr. Ganesh S/o Chatur Naik, R/o Goa Velha informing that while he was with his girlfriend at her residence in Old Goa in an apartment the accused person who was also friendly with his girlfriend came at the residence.
Further over the issue of complainant being close to the girl the accused Uddesh Karishetty assaulted the complainant with stones causing injury on his head and damaged the phone of the complainant. The accused also threatened to kill the complainant.
The complainant was rushed to hospital and after obtaining medical treatement he was discharged from the hospital.
Upon registration of FIR police traced the accused person and immediately placed him under arrest under sections 324, 427, 504, 506(ii) of IPC and lodged him in police lockup.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Shivram Gauns under the supervision of pi Jivba Dalvi.
