Madkaikar said that the attempts is to ensure that workers are regularized by June this year.

The Mayor said that Babush has been sensitive about issues of the workers and has been following this matter.

“These workers earn less than Rs 9,000 a month and some of them are reaching the age of retirement. It is our duty to regularize them and provide decent salary,” he said.

“We will have to bear 50 per cent of their wages which means we will have to pay 10 per cent extra than what we are paying,” he said.
