Aldona: While driving through the lanes of Aldona always gives you a feel of Old Goa where life is laid back and people live in the Portuguese-era houses, the situation is slowly changing for the people here.
There are many of these houses which are well maintained and people continue living here for generations, there are certain aberration where we find the structures collapsing.
The huge buildings that are coming up in the village has certainly threatened change in the landscape.
We met Chagas Carvalho, who lives in his Portuguese-era house, well maintained. Carvalho is also fighting to save the communidade lands from being taken away.
