NSUI submits memorandum to Traffic police, demands diversion of Heavy vehicles from Cuncolim during morning hours

Cuncolim: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) leaders on Wednesday met Deputy Superintendent of Police, Margao demanding that the heavy vehicles should not be allowed in Cuncolim (South Goa) market during the morning hours.

Vrushabh Faldesai, incharge of CEC College, Cuncolim said that there is utter traffic jam from Cuncolim Bus Stand to Market area due to which the students coming to the college suffer.

He said that the heavy vehicles jam the road, leading to the mess during morning hours. Faldesai said that they could not meet DySP Traffic but has submitted a memorandum demanding that the heavy vehicles should be diverted during the morning hours.

“Most of the heavy vehicles are heading towards IDC Cuncolim. They can be diverted by another route during morning hours,” he said.
