Nearly 400 suggestions from people on Goa Budget: CM

Panaji:  Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said that he has received around 400 suggestions from different people on their expectations from upcoming state budget 2020-21.

Sawant, who is also holding finance portfolio, had launched a website to accept suggestion from the people on the budget.

“I am pleased to announce that we have received 395 suggestions/ideas during this maiden online exercise conducted for Goa Budget 2020-21,” the chief minister said.

He said that the highest number of suggestions have been received in the Education sector followed by Administration and Governance, Transport, Public Works and Health.

“It is heartening to see that most of the inputs are thorough. I thank everyone for the participation,” he said.

“I also assure that we would conduct this exercise in a bigger way in the future, that will result in more engagement for better governance and a better Goa,” the chief minister added.

The Budget would be presented on February 6during the assembly session that will be held between February 3-7.
