Pernem: Pernem Police have arrested one Mumbai native for illegal possession of charas.

 

As per PI Jivba Dalvi information was received from reliable sourced that one person is involved in durg activities at Arambol, Pernem – Goa.

 

Further on 10/03/2021  police traced the accused person at parking place and conducted a surprise raid during which the narcotics drugs charas was found to be in his possession.

 

The charas was immediately seized and taken into custody under the panchanama. The seized charas  is worth Rs.15,000/- in international market.

 

The accused person has been identified as Mr. Ali Shah Shaikh , age 42 yrs N/o Ekta nagar, Mumbai.

 

The raid was conducted at 13:40 hrs to 16:15 hrs.

 

An offence under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act has been registered.

 

The raiding was conducted by PI Jivba Dalvi and consisted of PSI Harish Vaingankar,  constables Anishkumar Poke, Ravi Mahloji,  Kundan Gaonkar,  Devidas Malkar and Jeevan Govekar.

 

Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of SDPO Gajanan Prabhudessai and SP NORTH Utkrisht Prasoon IPS.
