Panaji: A day after Senior Congress MLA Pratapsingh Rane bet for BJP’s sitting MP Shripad Naik for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from North Goa, his party preferred not to comment on it directly.
However, the party maintained that Mr Rane is a tall leader of Congress and that he will always be with the party.
“Mr Rane is a senior and tall leader of Congress and he will always be with the party. I don’t think there is any question to be answered after this,” Congress general secretary Adv Yatish Naik said while reacting to media questions on Rane’s statement.
On Friday, Rane while speaking while laying foundation stone for Indoor Sports Club at Zarmen-Sattari in presence of Shripad Naik said that Naik deserves to be re-elected to the Parliament again. .
