Mr. Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay takes over as Director ( Operations) GSL

Mr Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay has assumed charge as Director (Operations) of Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) on 1stSept 2020. Mr B K Upadhyay has taken over from Mr S J Kamat who superannuated on 31st August 2020.

Mr B K Upadhyay is B.E. (Electrical) and started his career with GSL in 1991. During his long career of over 29 yearsin GSL, he  has held various key positions in various departments and has made significant contributions in areas of ship construction, diversification of products as part of General Engineering Services, Corporate Planning, Business Development, infrastructure development and Ship Repairs.

Prior to taking over as Director (Operations), Mr B K Upadhyay was at the helm of Forward Project Group Deptt, responsible for increasing GSL’s outreach intoglobal defence market. He had spearheaded GSL’s export projects of 11 Fast Interceptor Boats and Damage Control Simulator and has hands on production experience onMissile Corvettes, Offshore Patrol Vessels and Fast Patrol Vessels and other class of vessels. On diversification front, Mr Upadhyay had played major role in bringing new technologies to GSL through Transfer of Technologies and MOUs with reputed and established international firms. He has played pivotal role in establishing GSL as major producer of Simulators in Indian sub-continent
