Panaji: Former Revenue Minister and Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte today demanded that Chief Minister  Pramod Sawant should lead an all-party delegation to Delhi to mount pressure on the Central government to withdraw the consent granted to Karnataka’s Kalasa-Bhandura project.

Khaunte also supported the demand for one-day assembly session to discuss on Mhadei issue. He said that session should also deliberate on other issues like potholes and dengue menace.

“The Consent granted to Kalasa-Bhandura project is a gift for Karnataka from Centre. It is a major slap on the Goa government,” Khaunte alleged.

He advised Chief Minister to take some tips from Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, who is often seen meeting BJP central leadership  in Delhi.

“Goa government in consultation with opposition will have to take a strong stand on Mhadei issue before Centre. Chief Minister will have to lead an all party delegation to mount pressure on Centre to protect State interest on Mhadei,” Khaunte said.
