Panaji: In what symbolizes unbecoming of the capital city, the most sensitive area, Altinho, which is home for several IPS and IAS officers witnessed unruly incident last night.

Several cars parked at the Altinho were attacked by miscreants, and even things were robbed from the vehicles, last night. Incidently, the attack happened just 100 metres away from the Official Residence of Superintendent of Police (North) Chandana Chaudhury and within a kilometer area of Director General of Police Muktesh Chandar’s Home.

What seems to have angered the people is that Panaji police station after being filed complaint, has been dragging its feet to investigate the complaint.

It was only after some of the affected people called senior police officers that Panaji police officials moved to do a basic formality of conducting a panchanama.

The doubts are expressed whether these attacks and robberies are part of nexus between miscreants and police on duty, as the area where the incident happened is highly secured with presence of institutions like Goa Reserve Police Building and residents of most influential government servants.

As per the complaint lodged by two complainants alleged that unknown person(s) tried to rob belongings from their vehicles which was evident the manner in which the cars were attacked.

One of the affected person,  Ritesh Srivastav, said that the cash amount kept near the dashboard was missing and blood stains were found on the car stereo.

Another car owner Prakash Kalangutkar staetd that the door handle of the car was broken, also indicating robbery attempt.
