Know about vaccination starting from tomorrow

Panaji: Goa government is all set to vaccinate citizens above the age of 60 years and also those between 45-59 year  with co morbidities from Monday across 37 government centers.

The beneficiaries will have to arrive at their nearest government hospital with their Adhar Card or any other government proof of identity and get on the spot registration done on first serve basis.

The people in 45-59 age group will have to produce the certificate of their co morbidity from a registered medical practitioner on a prescribed format of the Government of India with their photo identity.

Registration can also be done online on Covin portal once portal is open for the same, for both the groups.

The vaccination drive would be held across all 37 centers including Goa Medical College and Hospital, South Goa District Hospital, Mapusa and Ponda sub District hospital, public health center, community health centers, etc.

Each center is given target of 100 doses per day including second dose. .

The government is yet to take decision on allowing private hospitals to conduct vaccination. The meeting with the private hospitals will be held shortly.

The Government of India has capped vaccination charges in private hospitals at Rs 250, while it is free of cost in government hospitals.
