Parra: BJP leader and Port Minister Michael Lobo has confirmed that Goa Forward Party MLAs Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palyekar were willing to join the BJP, but their entry was opposed.
Speaking on Prime Encounter Program on Prime Media, Lobo said that Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palyekar were willing to join BJP, and similar proposal was before the party.
“I opposed their entry in the party. We did not want them. We have enough number and government is stable,” he said.
Both GFP MLAs had refused that they had even moved with any proposal to BJP. They had claimed that they were loyal to GFP and its leader Vijai Sardesai.
