Panaji: Amidst rising cases of COVID-19 positive in the State, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that he would be working on the field in a much better way.

Rane is scheduled to visit ESI hospital in Margao town of South Goa which is designated as COVID hospital and also COVID care facility at Shiroda.

The minister said that his visit is aimed to oversee the infrastructure at both of these important facilities.

“I am ready to pledge my life for safety of every Goan. Corona does not affect me, neither I have any fear of corona or COVID-19,” he said interacting with reporters in Panaji.

“I pledge my life for the safety of every Goan and keep Goa secured. I will be working on the field in a much better way to keep Goa safe and secure and contain coronavirus in most scientific way,” he said.

“BJP has instilled in me a sense of sacrifice for the people of the country and the state. I go ahead with the principle imbibed in me,” he said.

Goa has detected 463 cases positive for COVID-19 infection. The state which was declared as Green Zone on May 03 suddenly saw spike in the cases after Mangor Hill area of Vasco in South Goa saw rise in the infection.

While State government has already declared Mangor Hill as containment zone, another locality in Sattari taluka was also notified as containment zone on Friday after series of cases were witnessed there.
