Mapusa: Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai has said that he is willing to back Joshua, son of former Deputy CM Francis D’Souza to take his father’s legacy forward.
D’Souza has passed away yesterday. Sardesai was speaking after paying homage to the leader at his residence in Mapusa.
“Francis has done good work for the citizens of Mapusa and his legacy should be carried forward by his son Joshua,” Sardesai told reporters.
Vijai has said that he is ready to back Joshua to take his father’s legacy forward.
“In past, I had discussed many political developments in the state of Goa and also in his constituency with Francis. I was willing to back his son. I am still willing,” he added.
Sardesai was accompanied by party vice president Babush Monserratte, Treasurer Suraj Lotlikar, Vice President Durgadas Kamat, Joint Secretary Santosh Kumar Sawant and Goa Youth Forward Chief Raj Malik.
