Panaji: After asking Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo to have “little more patience,” chief minister Pramod Sawant seems to have made no more moves to ensure induction of Calangute MLA in the cabinet.

On the birthday of Lobo, Sawant had publicly made statement that he would be given a bigger responsibility. He had also said that Lobo have had patience all this time, and he should have little more of it.

The speculations were rife that one minister from South Goa would be dropped from the cabinet to accommodate Lobo. It was expected that within hours of assurance, Lobo would be sworn in.

But that does not seems to be happening and Lobo will have to wait for more time.

Lobo had refused to accept the position of Speaker as he wanted to be in the ministry. The Calangute MLA had also, recently, said that he don’t mind taking over the ministry concerning the work of treating garbage in the state.

Sawant who was in Delhi and then in Amethi has returned. Can we expect things to move now? Let’s wait and watch.
