HM Rane Inspects Proposed Tertiary Centre for Cancer Care

Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday inspected the site of the proposed Tertiary Centre for Cancer Care, where work is progressing on Goa’s first Cancer Super Speciality Hospital.

This landmark initiative aims to drive sustainable growth in cancer care, ensuring comprehensive services for patients. In collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre, the hospital will focus on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Additionally, it will support academic programs, clinical research, and maintain a hospital-based cancer registry, reinforcing the commitment to strengthening oncology services in Goa.

Rane was accompanied by Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMC, whose expertise and insights will be instrumental in shaping this state-of-the-art facility to provide advanced and accessible cancer care for the people of Goa.
