Panaji: Bombay High Court at Goa today directed tourism department to issue fresh advertisment inviting applications for beach shack allotment as per Beach Shack Policy 2019-22.
The Court also directed the department to reserve 90 percent of shacks for operators with experience of 3 years or more & 10 percent for 3 years or less.
As per policy, total of 346 stacks will be allotted to shack operators for a period of 3 years , of which 238 are in North Goa while 108 are in South Goa.
As much as 50 percent of shacks will be allotted to applicants with experience of 10 years and above, applicants with experience of 5 to 9 years will get 40 percent of shacks while 10 percent shacks will be allotted to applicants with experience of less than 5 years and also those without any prior experience.
