Panaji: State Government today constituted State Commission for Women with Purti Patkar as its chairperson.
Patkar, is also Head of Operation of GVK EMRI.
The eight member Commission is been constituted under Goa State Commission for Women Act, 1996.
The members of the Commission include MLA Alina Saldanha, Shaila D’Souza, Lawanya Shetye, Ketki Gadekar, Dr Pritha Mallya, Dr Sheela Gupte, Kishore Mandrekar and Siddhivinayak Naik as Member Secretary.
The tenure of the panel is for three years.
