Dona Paula: After proclaiming to be a non-political outfit, Goencho Avaz had their political linkage exposed on Saturday when they met Congress President Rahul Gandhi at a starred hotel at Dona Paula.
Goencho Avaz, an organization which has been vocal against the government, had always claimed to be politically neutral though their actions had sent clear indications that they are Team B of Congress Party.
The leaders of this outfit led by Captain Viriato Fernandes met Gandhi at Dona Paula based five star hotel on Saturday, posing entire visit as that of attempt to seek justice.
At the hotel in Dona Paula, Goencho Avaz was first one to enter with their delegation followed by others.
The dependency on Congress President Rahul Gandhi to solve Goa’s problem is a clear diversion from their earlier stand of only going public and seeking help from the people to support the issues.
The action has exposed the link of organization with Congress party, which has been desperately trying to malign image of Manohar Parrikar-led government through its foot-soldiers posing as the activists.
Goencho Avaz has been trying to corner government on the non-issues like 16-B of TCP Act and also opposition for amended Coastal Regulation Zone notification.
The organization has been losing its sympathy as sources claimed that they had even expressed the wish to align with Congress party for upcoming elections.
