Panaji – Goans have full faith in the Congress Party which has always respected the sentiments and emotions of the People. The entry of new political parties in Goa will only help splitting the secular votes. Goans will never fall prey to political gambles & gimmicks and will never compromise on Goa’s identity. We are completely confident that Goans will reaffirm Pandit Nehru’s words “Ajeeb Hai Goa Ke Log” stated Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar & Congress Legislature Party Leader Digambar Kamat in a joint statement issued here today.
Both leaders said that Goans are proud about their identity & will never get carried away with the fake election tricks of dividing the anti-BJP votes.
Goa has a history of mass agitations and Goans have always stood hand in hand to protect & preserve the Identity of Goa. We are going to form the Government in 2022 and will ensure that all anti-Goa decisions and projects of the BJP Government are scrapped.
There is a long que of young leaders waiting to join the Congress Party. The youth of Goa is getting attracted towards Congress Party which is the only formidable force with a strong base to defeat communal, insensitive and irresponsible BJP. In the coming days, Goa will have a “Congress Wave” all across the State.
Some political parties which are now trying to make a comeback in Goa have already tested the Goan waters in the past. They failed miserably earlier and will repeat it once again. No one can take wise Goans on a ride.
Reacting to the entry of TMC in Goa, GPCC president Girish Chodankar said “I don’t think Mamata Didi is a political fool to come to Goa and divide secular votes which will benefit her arch rival, the BJP. I don’t think she will make a political suicide in Goa”.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee could succeed in politics and continue in power because she focused on ground realities. She knows that any party can stand firm with strong political roots when it is built from the bottom, not from the top, superficially. Parties are built by the workers, not leaders, and certainly not by dealers” said CLP Leader Digambar Kamat.
