In a press note released here, Goa University’s Registrar has said “The Goa University has withdrawn the three advertisements released on 8th March 2019 for recruitment of teaching positions viz. 1. For Backlog vacancies, 2. For Shortfall Vacancies 3. For Regular vacancies.

Goa Youth Forward had taken up the issue after it was noticed that the domicile clause has been withdrawn from the advertisement. The attempts were also seen to put Goan OBC and ST candidates to injustice through manipulation of recruitment roster.

Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai had personally followed up this issue by moving note to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Sardesai in a public statement had said that his party won’t mind weaponising the youth, if injusticed it meted out to them.
