Panaji: Goa reported 40.18 per cent COVID-19 infection on Sunday with 1582 new infections being reported during the day.
As per health department bulletin, a total of 1582 people were tested positive on Sunday taking the toll to 2,29,438.
Eight persons died due to infection during the day, after which the death toll has touched 3610. The positivity rate was 40.18 per cent
The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 206103 with 3232 of them getting discharged on Sunday.
“With 3937 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 17,78,174,” he added.
