Panaji: Old Goa Police and Tamil Nadu Police traced absconding Cheating accused:
An offence vide D4, Kunaimuttur Police Station , Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Cr. No. 42/2023 u/s 408,420 IPC was registered against A. Rajesh for accepting money of 40 lakhs from around 300 customers to book Suzuki scooter and fled away with the said collected money. The accused was wanted in same police station in another case and at other police stations in Tamil Nadu in such other criminal case
Upon receipt of information from Coimbatore, TN police, the Old Goa ps immediately formed 2 teams and started collecting information and visited Corlim, Old Goa, Dona Paula, Caranzalem. Finally the accused was caught near his residential place at Corlim, Old Goa. The I10 vehicle involved in offence is also recovered by TN police. The accused was using TN registered vehicle by changing number plate to GA. There are also other number plates of KA ( Karnataka) are recovered from him
TN team was accompanied by Bhaskaran, sub Inspector
The accused was absconding for long period in other cases.
