Panaji: Goa police on Tuesday arrested a 31 year old man from Dodamarg Maharashtra for kidnapping and raping a minor girl from Goa.
Valpoi police have booked case under IPC and POCSO Act against Akshay Vasant Naik, 31, for kidnapping and raping a minor girl from Parye village in Sattari taluka of North Goa.
Police spokesman said that the case was registered after complaint was filed by father of the victim on Tuesday (August 10) with Valpoi police station.
As per the complaint, the accused kidnapped his 13 year old minor daughter from the village and took her at his residential place and raped her.
Police said that the accused was arrested onTuesday evening after he was booked under sections related to kidnapping and rape under Indian Penal Code, Goa Children’s Act and POCSO Act.
