Margao: Hours after a prominent daily carried picture of the students sitting with the umbrellas open in their classroom at Government primary school Bhinde Malcornem due to roof leakage, Goa Forward Party president and minister Vijai Sardesai swung into action.

Party officials stated that Sardesai spoke to Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma and also Director of Education Gajanan Bhat asking them to look into the incident and work out solution.

“It’s Vijai Sardesai’s dream that children should get quality education and children are close to his heart,” party’s leader Durgadas Kamat said.

“We have immediately brought this to the notice of chief secretary Dharmendra sharma and Education Director Gajanan Bhat. Both have assured immediate action on this matter,” he said.

Kamat said that Goa Forward always will protect the interest of children. “In fact it’s the dream of our party President Vijai Sardesai to start school soon for needy children at Fatorda,” he added.
